NAI Somali Law and Policy Program

The Somali Law and Policy Program, at NAI Somalia, was launched in January 2019 with two critical objectives in mind:

• Establishing an online legal library for relevant laws and policies in Somalia, which may be easily accessible to the public; and

• Collecting, recording, analysing and reporting on key trends in politics and governance, peace and security, and socioeconomic affairs to present relevant trends.

Under the Program, NAI publishes two reports:

Somali Federalization Monitor (SFM)

Puntland Situation Report (PSR)

​

In the near-term future, the Program aims to hold legal seminars to present key report findings and foster discussion between the public and state institutions to advance the cause of good governance.
